Recently I sold my home in the Okanagan, it took some time to sell. What was wrong with my house? Everyone commented and thought my home to be beautiful, inviting and a happy feel to it. Selling a home that is it too personalized does not give the chance for potential buyers to imagine themselves living there. Realtors and their clients suggested repainting some of the rooms. I didn’t think it was such a big deal as these rooms were in the basement and rarely used. I found this very hard to do – but, eventually succumbed to their feed back. Simply painting in a neutral color can make all the difference – within a couple weeks of that change my house sold.
