I have a question for you. I live and work as a real estate agent in a remote, rural area of the US; there are no staging professionals that I know of here. How can I best help my client understand the importance of getting the property ready for me to market?

I commend you for understanding the importance of wanting to help your clients. There is opportunity for someone in your circle of influence to set up a business and certify as a staging professional – then your challenge is removed. In the meanwhile, there are four things I can suggest:

  1. There is a perfect webinar for building your knowledge and skills to help your client called the CSP Elite agent (www.cspelite.com).
  2. You can search for a stager at www.findyourstager.com and, on a fee-for-service basis, you can send photos to that person and he or she will provide a complete consultation.
  3. You can purchase The Seller’s Edge DVD through our website; it explains the process and shows results.
  4. You can buy some copies of Home Staging For Dummies (and a resource for the rest of us) available at Amazon.com and give it as a gift or on loan to your clients. Let me know what works best for you.
